Roller is NCA’s award-winning in-house advertising agency, boasting a skilled, agile team of specialists, including art directors, copywriters, digital designers, producers, editors, account managers and planners.

Far from simply being a fun run, Bridge to Brisbane is the largest community event in Brisbane.

It raises over $1M for Queensland charities and connects with more than 30,000 consumers. Roller created a hugely successful campaign for it in 2023, which saw tickets sell out. So for 2024, the decision was made to evolve the creative. The new campaign has a 90s look and feel. Using the existing colour palette to colour block characters. It also sports a new ‘fast’ font.

This year’s work was developed by Lucy Jackson, Sean Vrabel, Emily Jackson, Jeanie Edwards, Laura Butler, Marion Kim and Tory Lattin.

SuperCoach Footy is back for another season. But in a departure from recent years, this campaign didn’t showcase former NRL and AFL players as ambassadors. Instead, it featured regular punters discussing Australia’s best fantasy footy game in their natural environment of home. The usual SuperCoach suspects on the Roller team pulled the campaign together which involved digital, social, TV, radio and press.

Australia is facing a severe health crisis as chronic pain and preventable diseases take a heavy toll on the nation. Roller was tasked with developing a digital first approach which communicated the practical tools, tips and guides on how to optimise the health and wellbeing of Australians at every life stage. This large campaign comprised logo design, social, digital, editorial, TV, radio and print.

It was created by Lucy Jackson, Marion Kim, Zhen Li, Matt Leung, Jo Sellars, Tory Lattin, Alex Sunier and James Fyfe-Smith.

The campaign is off to an exceptional start, with Health Club sign ups almost doubling the campaign goal and over 25,000 Aussies completing the real health age calculator within the first 72 hrs, post-launch.

Supercoach is one of NewsCorp Australia’s premier sporting brands and platforms. With a loyal fan base, the fantasy sporting league runs 3 creative campaigns every year for BBL cricket, AFL and NRL Footy and most recently NBL. Every creative campaign is created to a new brief each season and spreads across multiple touchpoints like TV, digital, social, press, radio, podcast.

Roller brands and designs the title work for most of the podcasts created in the Audio network. When Newscast decided to launch their True Crime podcasts onto the external apple podcast platform, Roller helped create the new channel, naming, designing, branding and advertising it. Taylor Swift may have left Australia but her presence is still being felt here with the news that her record-breaking Eras Tour has also been a handy windfall for the company. The 100-page full gloss magazine (with bonus poster) sold nearly 38,000 issues as Swiftmania swept across the country. Art director Meisha Reynolds created a beautiful keepsake with stories produced by News contributors, including James Wigney, Jackie Epstein and Lynette Walker. It was a collaboration across the board, with great cross-promotion by the mastheads and our marketing team.

As we dig into the year ahead, we've also been reflecting on the year that was. In 2023, Suddenly embarked on the next major phase of our long-standing association with Chemist Warehouse’s The House of Wellness, extending our partnership to the brand's social platforms.



Stemming from the brand strategy we developed for HoW in late 2022, Suddenly devised the brand's social media visual identity, content strategy and new formats - and then brought it all to life through an extensive calendar of social content. In an exciting new collaboration, Visual Domain joined forces with 2XU to create a cinematic 30-second product video promoting the debut of their cutting-edge product line – "Light Speed React". At the heart of the launch was the groundbreaking Light Speed React Tights, which highlighted their transformative technology but also conveyed a message that went beyond just their product line.

Venturing into uncharted territory, 2XU sought Visual Domain's expertise in VFX and 3D animation, working closely with their Global Brand Team to bring their vision to fruition. The deliverables include a 30-second TV commercial and a 15-second TV commercial, each aimed at capturing the heart of the Diggers brand and its rich legacy.

This month NewsCast is highlighting a brilliant advertising campaign win!

In April, Corrections Victoria sponsored our biggest weekly podcast, I

. The sponsorship included 4 themed episodes which involved Gary flying to Melbourne to record with an ex-prisoner and former AFL star Andrew Krakouer, as well as two corrections officers, Clint and Kylie. This was in conjunction with a three week sponsorship, featuring host read ads highlighting the positive impact our corrections officers can have on society.

The campaign performed extremely well, achieving over 1 million ad impressions in just three weeks. The four episodes took over 120K combined downloads which was 20% more than we expected. The social promotion for the episodes (there were 16 in total) garnered over 580K video views between them and 12,000 interactions.

As a result of the strong performance, we delivered $180K value in media and content for the client's $70K investment. And this week, Corrections VIC has chosen to invest a further $6K into ROC crime airtime in order to keep up the momentum and increase their reach in Victoria.
